Can't run 16-bit Windows Program

By donald.pijpstra ·
On one of our IBM Thinkpads a user get's the following erromessage This application is not supported by Microsoft Windows NT. The window title is: Can't run 16-bit Windows Program. When he logs on to another TP600 with the same installation he can run the program (Ccplus) without problems. I also used other userid's and only on this one PC the error occurs. I completely reinstalled the pc but the problem comes back. I checked on BIOS versions and did a memory test but found nothing wrong. So what might be wrong, is it a hardware problem?

SP5 is installed on all PC's

Check out Q article Q191690 on www.microsoft.com/technet. Another thing to try is disable any Anitvirus software that is running and see if that helps.

I already got the same problem. Check your DLLs in \system32 and \system directories - they must be the same. In case you find a newer DLL - replace it with an original from NT installation disk or SP. In my case it was ver.dll, but you may catch another.
Good luck.
