I’m trying to help a relative with a problem he’s having running the MS disk defragmenter. He’s running Windows XP Home – SP2, and whenever he tries to load the defrager, he receives this message: “Windows cannot access the specified device, path or file. You may not have the appropriate permissions to…”.
I couldn’t find any solution that made much sense on the Microsoft KB articles.
