Can’t see computers on my network

Good morn,Men I have a small prob,I network 3 pc for a neigbour last night.But I can’t view any pc on the entire network.When I try searching for computer on the network I can’t find any.I did a crossover cable used it on two pc, still they can’t see themselfs.
The pc already had a LAN card installed on it.The hub I used is a 10BaseT 8 port ethernet hub.I ping 127.0.0.1 on the pcs and the reply well.
One more thing,if i connect the cat 5 cable from the LAN card to the hub,the led indicator onthe hub that is suppose to come on did not come on and the LAN card has no LED indicator on it.but if I power on the hub The BNC led indicator which is red is permanently on.The OS on the Pcsis windows 98.
I need help urgently.
