We have a few shared CD drives (one on an Ethernet computer and another on a Token Ring computer) that we were always able to see across the network. We used them for installing software from CD’s on user machines (depending if they had an Ethernet or Token Ring connection), that did not have their own CD drives. Recently when we tried to access a shared drive, we discovered that the drives are no longer visible in Network Neighborhood as they once were. These drives are still listed as shared devices and users can access files and printers across the network just fine. Is there something that someone might suggest we look for in troubleshooting this problem.
