cant see workgroup

hi, on my network there are 3 computers, the other all are using win xp pro, the other 2 computers can access all 3 computers in the network but one computer can't even join the workgroup.
i can ping all of them..
so any ideas?

I guess the last one doesn't have the NTFS rights to see the 2 others. Or you may have to join the workgroup correctly. Right click on My computer>option>name change domain and write the workgroup name.

one possible cause for not being able to use the network wizard is the access this computer from the network user right has been modified and/or changed.

another possible cause is a security template which removes this right has been applied.

The account being used is not grated the right.

User accounts created that are members of the administrative group but is not the administrator account, may have had this right removed from the administrative group. e.g. a security group which removes this right was created and named administrator [though is not the local machine administrator's account].

I'm currently on my admin account, i've never change it since i install the winxp. the workgroup name is the same as others. Previously there weren't any problems when i'm just using the switch, now since using the linksys router, others can see my computer but not the other way around
