Exchange 5.5, SP 4, Outlook 2000 clients. Server rebuilt after hard drive crash. Lot’s of X.400, event id: 290 in Event Viewer. Try to send email with attachment, get “Operation failed” error. Try again and get “You do not have sufficient permissions for this operation.” (This happens often but NOT every time!) Ran eseutil -g and it finished but said the priv.edb was corrupt. Ran eseutil -r and it finished without error. Ran isinteg -patch and it ended without error and ‘database updated. Hadher run mtachk /v /f /exchsrvr\mtadata\mtachk.out\mtachk.log. “Data base clean, no errors detected.”
I have re-applied SP4 for Exchange; still get the errors.
