the computer is running Windows XP Pro sp2. We have just added Windows 2003 server and Active Directory. To join this person to the domain I had to copy his profile to the AD user on the computer. Everything works fine except for Palm Desktop which works fine under his old user account. I have tried to uninstall and reinstall in his new account but I get error messages when trying to do either. What all do I have to delete in order to be able to reinstall Palm on this computer so he can use it? Or is there something in his old user profile that possibly didn't get copied or moved that I can just move to the new account to get Palm Desktop to work for him?

Please list the error messages that you are recieving, also has the computer been recently upgraded to sp2 or was Palm Desktop previously running on sp2 already. You may need to completely uninstall Palm Desktop and delete any registry entries its made, however first let's see what the error message is saying so i can determine what kind of problem is occurring.

It is looking for the msi package which I can't find anywhere on the computer. I tried doing an install to the new user profile which is in the administrator group when Palm didn't work after copying the profile from the users local account when he was joined to Active Directory. I tried doing an uninstall but it won't do it because it can't find the msi package and it won't let me reinstall because it says it can't uninstall the older version even though the version I am trying to install is the same version. At this point I figure I will have to delete entries in the registry but since I already tried deleting all entrys that Palm and it still won't let me install Palm that there has to be some entrys that I am missing in the Registry that also have to be deleted.
Someone you or the system being joinned does not have enough mega-bytes to support the operations actively, this is a common problem that can be accounted for if you consider the number of users "ON" the line possible and add together eaches indiviuals needs.

As I can log onto the old local account and still use Palm and I can do or run any other application in the new user profile that is part of Active Directory I don't see how this could be the problem. All programs are installed on the local computer and there is only one user logged onto that computer and I also made that part of the administrator group before I tried doing anything with Palm.
