Can't Unistall Spybot

By peetree ·
I have Spybot and it is - I think - conflicting with Webroot SpySweeper. While trying to uninstall it I got the following message, " "... /unis001.msg" is missing. Please correct the problem or obtain a new copy of the program." I had the original free version and then I updated and I eventually became sick of it. I just want to uninstall and see if is truly conflicting.

Also, another dilemma has arisen. When I double-click the icon in the Task Tray I get, "SpyboySD.exe" "This application has failed to start because sqite3.dll was not found. Re-installing this application may fix the problem."

I have no idea when it was install originally, but I have SpySweeper and I am pleased with it and have about another year on my subscription.

You can delete it from the registry.

Do this.
Start > run, type in "regedit", and press "enter". Now when in go to "edit > find". Now type in "spybot", then press "find next". Now the registry will search for spybot, when found just click on your "DEL" button but ONLY ONCE. Now press these buttons "CTRL" plus "F" keys, this will bring up the search box again just press "enter". Keep on doing this until all searches of spybot is found and deleted. When the registry can not find anymore do a FULL shutdown, wait 15 seconds and then boot up again. This should clear out the spybot and the nagging pop ups.

Please post back if you have any more problems or questions.
