CANT UNSUBSCRIBE !!!.....not alone I see.

By mrlewp87 ·
Ok, I've seen that I have no subscriptions to email tech stuff, etc. But, I am still receiving updates to threads, which I do not find any way to stop. Keep reading about some "E-Newsletters" link on left side of page ?? Never found it. It's just the forum threads I guess is still the problem.

It's a joke

by vicsc In reply to

It seems to be a joke.. the link to manage newsletters (where you should unsubscribe) is a fake link. It brings you on the same page...

You have two options

by aquatehna In reply to

1. Option - soft approach
Simply go to the top right of the current page and click "My Newsletters". You have to be logged as user! Then uncheck all that tons of crap they are sending us. Then click the button "update my account". This may help.

2. Option - Brute force
Just put them on the spam list in your e-mail client. In fact they are the worst spammers I have ever accountered in my life!

If nothing helps use firewall or even disconnect from internet forever.

Want to unsubscribe??

by vicsc In reply to CANT UNSUBSCRIBE !!!..... ...

Go (on top of main page) to "MyWorkspace", click on "My newsletter subscriptions", log in and edit your preferences.
If You prefer, select "Unsubscribe from all TechRepublic newsletters" checkbox on bottom of page and click "Update my account" buttom.

That's all.

unsubscribe? very funny

by negroah In reply to Want to unsubscribe??

ha ha visc, very funny! It seemed they saw that loophole and closed it pretty quick,

The only sure way I can think of, setting up a dummy email add and change it to that.
