Can’t View Help Files in Office 2007

by ejames6342 . Updated 16 years, 10 months ago

I am using Vista Home Premium Service Pack 3 and Office 2007 Enterprise Edition. I have a 1.83 ghz Toshiba Qosmio PC with 4 MG of memory.

Every time I try to open a help file in Office 2007 it says “Verifying the searchtransition.htm from MS.Outlook.12.1033”.

Then it opens a window in my Firefox browser that says: “Searching Office Online for:” Undefined. Then it gives me a link to show me offline help from my computer. I click on that and it says:

File not found

Firefox can’t find the file at /C:/Users/ELIZAB~1/AppData/Local/Temp/Temporary Internet Files/Content.IE5/I4QON6KX/gooffline.

* Check the file name for capitalization or other typing errors.

* Check to see if the file was moved, renamed or deleted.

This happens every time I try to use a help file in Office 2007. I never had this problem in Office 2003.

Any help you can give would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks!

Elizabeth
