CapsLock On

By papgas ·
After upgrading to XP Pro, the CapsLock key remains off every time I switch on my PC.
The BIOS has no relevant option.
How can I do it through XP so as the CapsLock key will be on whenever I 'll switch on my PC?

Thank you.

Caps lock has no code authority in the BIOS or Operating system for a boot sequence. The Num Lock, however does, and if your bios does not support NumLock Status then you cannot tell the BIOS to send a status signal to XP. unfortunate situation.

I upgraded my BIOS and now there is a keyboard option. After selecting it I saw that it gives me the ON and OFF options for NUMLOCK key. Still I cannot make it work!

You specified CAPS LOCK NOT NUMLOCK, in your question. Thanks for rejecting my answer. As far as your numlock problem there is a registry entry that must be set. Look it up.

I apologise for my mistake. As for NUMLOCK key, I changed the appropriate registry entry and now it works.
Thank you again for your time.
