    Career path change advice

    Hi all,

This is my first time posting here so be gentle…

I have been in doing Graphics for about 18 years now and IT along that for the last 5 (professionally) and 20 as a hobby.
Graphics has tanked and I’m tired of the struggle. I’d like to move to IT because I love tech and I need financial and professional security. My only problem is which direction to go.

    My experience:
    – PC and networking hardware. I’ve upgraded and de-commissioned different university networks here in Canada. No configurations involved.

    – AV. Did quite a bit of large AV setup and tear downs. Some software work and even some R&D with new tech.

    – Software. Windows 95-10, Mac OS, and a little Linux. Office 365 admin, and lots of sales software support.

I have no certs at all.
Based on this quick rundown what do you guys/gals think?

Any input would be wonderful. Thanks so much,
    -Trebeck

I’d really think about what your greatest strengths are in IT, as well as your strongest references and start looking for jobs related to that area. Also, look at job listings and see if certifications in that area or required or are the norm.

Then, once you find some jobs to apply to, you can save a lot of time applying by using an autofill tool called The Work Today Wizard. Just make sure you have Google Chrome installed.
