Want to throw a quick question out for some insight. I am junior in college majoring in Management Information Systems. As most companies want experience along with the degree, where should I look to get industry experience that will help me get ahead. All of my prior work experience is in the retail management sector and while it does show management capabilities I suppose, it doesn’t allow my interest and abilities with technologies that I have learned both in school and through personal hobby for nearly 15 years plus. Any thoughts would be appreciated. I constantly keep hearing about the many types of certifications and can’t decide which way to go as not having acces to many of the high end server programs and hardware that is on the market most of this technology is not familiar ground to someone just really starting out.
