Career: Web or Networking?

Hi,

I’m having a little trouble deciding whether I want to head into web design/development/programming (.NET, Java) or network engineer or databases (SQL).

I have knowledge and experience in web, thus I can further develop myself into this area. I just did a basic networking subject at uni and it was very interesting, but it seems it will be a bit difficult because of all the technologies you will be required to learn. I enjoyed learning SQL and creating a simple set of relationship databases, but I’m not sure if it will be as interesting as a career.

Which would you choose and why?
