We are moving into a new building. Although we are making extensive changes to the existing layout it was suggested to re-use the existing Cat5 cabling rather than replacing it with new Cat5e. The cabling needs to accomodate voice and data traffic.
Aside from usage, how does the cable age affect this decision?
The existing cable was likely installed in 94/95.
