OK,
So I got all crazy and ran quad shielded 4x cable through my house ..(2 rg6 and 2 cat6, same cable).
Now, 1 PC in our lower bedroom connects to the network just fine, but cannot get an internet connection. It can be seen on the network, as well as see other computers. The config is …
Netgear Gigabit 16 port switch connected to a patch panel (hard wired in the back), cable modem is just plugged into a port on the switch. Network card was previsously set up to work with wireless access point.
I have — installed a new cat6 port, double checked all wiring, tested the wire (clean), used differant ports on the switch… all of this to no avail. 3 other PC’s all connect with the exact same setup just fine.
This PC gets “local connection” only …. and is driving me mad!! Any help?
