CCNP Certification Path...?

By ghstinshll ·
Ok, so now that I'm done with the CCNA, I'm lending support to other students in the education center I first took my class in. I'm interested in starting on the CCNP, though I don't expect to go through it and pass as quickly as I did the CCNA, as I'm not in the role to learn as much hands on experience with the devices. Here's my direct question:

What is the preferred path to go through the CCNP? I see that this order is listed on Cisco's site...

BSCI
Switching
Remote Access
Support

Is this the best path to take in this order? I could use the Switching knowledge first in my current role, as I'm upgrading to new 4000 switches, but will it hurt my cert path to study and take that first?

Please lend me your thoughts, as I'd like to start on material for my first test ASAP.

Thanks in advance
