My computer has recently started recognizing all my CD-ROMs as music files when they are actually data files on the disk. Even if the disk reads properly, it works for about two days, then I get an error message saying that there is no disk in the drive. I have XP with service pack 2 on my computer. Any ideas?

You need to change the Customization of the folders, open properties of the CDROM or sub folder and change customize tab and select document type as All (or just Documents).
