I am having problems with my CD drive.
I have a Toshiba P15 S479 laptop with and Combo DVD/CD drive.
I used my restore DVD to restore my comp to its factory condition.
After the restore the system prompted me saying that RAMASST will turn off XP?s CD burning tool.
I Said ?NO?
Now my CD drive is not working, the DVD works fine.
I check the properties of the combo drive to make re the enable Cd playback is selected.
I check the driver for thr Combo drive it says it?s a windows driver, so I installed the proper drive from Toshiba, still no help.
I deactivated RAMASST by using MSCONFIG, still no help..
Please help, I use my Cd player and burner more than my DVD, so if I can the Cdto work I will be fine..
