CD Drive Names

I have 2 cd rom drives a dvd/cd-rw and a dvd-rw.

All that is shows when i click on my computer is a cd drive for both. How can i change this name. So that i know which drive is which.

This may not be what you wanted, but I always name DVD/CD's as M (for Multimedia) and Rewritable as R in "Disk Management". This also eliminates problems with adding USB or other such removable media changing your CD install directory from \ to E: or F.
XP you would Right Mouse Click on "My Computer" select "Manage" and then "Disk Management".

Right click on the drive and select properties. At the top of the first page(General Tab) you should see a space to name the drive whatever you would like.

a firmware upgrade and/or BIOS upgrade. The Windows default ident for these types of drives is CD Rom/CR-RW.
