My nephew has a laptop, and the cd/dvd player stopped working. A friend of his downloaded something to a flash drive and put it in his computer and installed it, and the cd/dvd player started working again, now it has stopped once again. It is a registry problem, but I have no idea what he downloaded to get it to recognize the drive. Anyone have any ideas how I could fix this so it will not stop working again?
