Cd Not Playing

Hello sir,
I am Using atapi and i am using windows Xp prof, 50x cd Rom. Today i am using that successfully.In latter part means whan i am using that power offed.Then i am starting again then it will show error like this “The device is not ready”.The cd rom Icon displayingbut… not working.
what can i do now.
