I have a Compaq Armada 7400 that absolutely refused to recognize the CD-ROM within the laptop. Now I have try just about everything I can think of, I?ve tried different CD drives (as well as DVD drives), resetting the CMOS, installing a new ROMpaqsfrom Compaq. Nothing works. I know the slot work due to the fact that the floppy works. Also the CD-ROM is recognized while it is in the docking station. Does anyone have any suggestions that I could try? HELP
