cd-r error code

I,m getting an error code when trying to record a data cd. I have not been able to get HI-VAL to respond. HiVal Error code is
D4-28-052400-8E , There is no written discription. This has recently popped up but I don't know which program to look at for the fix. What does this code tell me.

that error is a buffer error. set your read buffer under your recording software to use part of system memory

You will never get through to hi-val, I know I used to work there.Try to put your cdr on your secondary as master sitting by itself, and slave your cdrom drive off your hard drive.

Another thing you can try, if you haven't already, is reduce the recording speed. With several of the burners here where I work, recording at 8X usually produces an error (and another coaster). So we usually burn at 4X.
