Cd rom

By louisemedo ·
I have burned music cd"s on my E-machine T2885 OS Windows XP Media Player 7.0. I am unable to play these cd's on any other remote players that have CD R/RW compatiablities. WHY??

Most likely because the CD recording function in Media Player isn't all that good and you have locked the Cd's that you create to that copy of Media Player. I would bet if you reloaded the unit you would be unable to play them then as well.

You really need a decent CD Recording package one which actually works something like Nero or Roxio's Easy CD/DVD Creator which will do a much better job of recording Cd's. For things like this it is better to use non Microsoft Products for any mission Critical work and even for something as simple as burning music Cd's you will get better results with 3rd party software.

Hal makes some good points. I use Itunes for writing music CD's and haven't had a problem yet playing on different CD-ROMS.

Just my 2 cents :)

When burning audio CDs for use in audio CD players: throttle burn speed to 12X or less and use high quality CD-R media.

Don't know if that's what you were trying to do, but good pointers anyway.
