The simple matter of toggling on/off AutoRun for a CD-ROM/DVD/whatever drive used to be a simple matter. When a friend today declared it “couldn’t be done” in XP, I took a look. Although available in TweakUI for Microsoft XP, I found no other simple approach (friend doesn’t want to install TweakUI). The AutoPlay tab functions don’t provide any overall option, either – and if all set to “Take No Action” a CD inserted into a CD-ROM drive will still AutoRun. Any suggestions?
