CD ROM keeps ejecting..

Can anyone tell me why a cd-rom will keep ejecting when the button isn't even pressed please.

There are two reasons.
The first is software.
If you have a CDROM that has a software controlled eject, it is being falsely triggered. This is not common.
The normal cause is mechanical.
The small plastic detent is worn/broken/dirty.
This meansthat when the CD is put in, the drive takes in the CD, but it does not stop at the detent, instead the cycle continues into the eject phase an halts at the eject detent, with the CD fully ejected.
I havwe made this repair for my own education, but due mostly to the poor quality of the plastic the repair lasted for only a year.
CDROMs are cheap, so be prepared to purchase another.

If the CD-ROM is Only ejecting when you are online you may have a trojan on your computer that is allowing access to your computer. many of the trojans have an eject cd option built into them. i suggest running an antivirus scan and maybe a port scan to make sure there are no ports that should not be open. my alias is my email so let me know the outcome.
