I have a generic PC (not a name brand) which we installed Windows 98 on recently and now the CD-ROM will not work. Upon boot up, it appears to recognize the CD and there is a Mitsumi CD listed in the Devices list, but it does not show up in My Computer or Windows Explorer. I tried the update button to have the computer look for a new driver, but that did not work. I do not have any floppy disks for the CD-ROM. Any suggestions on how to get this thing to work?
