I have an Acer CD/RW drive intalled in my HP 4440 Pavilion. The drive used to work just fine until I upgraded the firmware provided by Acer. Since the upgrade, it takes forever to just read a disc and it is almost impossible to write to one. Acer says there is nothing they can do. Will appreciate any and all suggestions or solutions. The CD/RW is a 4x4x32 CRW4432A Acer model.
