cd software

My pc came with Adaptec software for burning cds. Later purchased Nero-no problem. However, I purchased an HP cd burner and installed same with HP’s software. Problem is I can only burn with HP
software. Nero or Adaptec does not “see” the new burner. I would like to stay with Nero. Any help?
