CDR-W drive letter

by obersturnbanfuhrer . Updated 24 years ago

I just bought a new pc with Windows XP Pro installed. The OS is installed in drive C [NTFS vol]. I’ve create 3 new FAT32 partition using PartitionMagic 7 Pro on the 40GB HDD [10GB each]. The problem is like this: CDR-W drive was initially as drive D, but when the new partitions are created, the CDR-W stays as a D, the FAT32 partitions only start as a E,F,G. There’s no option to “readdress drive” available in PM7Pro for a CDR-W [only for ordinary CDR drive]. I would like to “push” the CDR-W drive letter to G; and the HDD partitions to be in C,D,E,F. Could anyone help me please.
