CDRW copying problem

Direct CD 3.5 has worked fine on my system for some time.

now all of a sudden I get the error message when i try to format the
disk.

“you will not be able to read and write to the disk through a drive
letter”
Illegal request (0x8052700)It works fine on disks that are allready formatted.

What does all this mean?
