I’m wondering what the trend is for company business use on cell phones.
1. Phones being provided to the employee and paid for by the company?
or
2. Company providing reimbursement to the employee for use of their personal cell phone for business use?
We are currently doing option 1 but are looking into option 2. It would save on administration costs and employees would not have the burden of carrying around two phones. But there are other arguments for option 1 like customers having that number and calling the employee after he’s been terminated or some employees may still not even have a personal cell phone.
How are you handling there? What’s the trend here? Thanks.
