Certification need an Info

By carquiza ·
Hi,

I want to get certified but the problem is don't want to spend money or I don't have money at all for an advance study. All I have is my simple computer at home and connected to internet (56Kbps). Is there I chance that I can be certified even I will not pay for a certification. I know it is seems to be impossible to get certified without really paying something. Need an info.

Cheers,

Certification need an Info

There are a lot of sites that provide free prep test and info to study, but you will still need to purchase some type of advanced study materials because the free stuff will not provide you with the adequate material to prepare you for the Certification you plan to persue.
You did not specify a particular cert,so here are a few sites
1)www.cramsession.com
2)www.looksmart.com
3)www.mcmcse.com
4)www.intelinfo.com/free_it_certification_study_guides.html
5)http://thestaffguide.com/
6)www.goodground.com/guides.html
7)http://mcseguide.com/

At the very least, you must spend money to take the tests. As an example, the MCSE certification requires that you pass 7 tests. Each test costs $125. Other certifications require fewer tests, but no one gives certification test for free.

As to achieving a certification without spending any money on courses: Answer 1 is on the money as far as study materials (books, practice tests, etc.) You will still be lacking in one vital ingredient - hands-on experience! Unless you attempt one of the very basic certifications (A+ or certification for a given application), your meager home resources will not be sufficient.

Lastly, a certification, without any experience to back it up, is almost worthless when it comes to getting a decent job.
