Dear Forum
I am working in IT for this 4 years, although my education background is not IT related (I was graduated from Metalurgical Engineering), but I like this field and want to be a real professional in this field.
Right now I am a System Administrator in my office (it’s just a small company), I want to make a big jump to a big and famous company, but I am still not confident about my capability. I want to be a specialist in this IT field, and then I try to be a certified professional. At first I think Microsoft is the most valuable certification, so I make a target to be a MCSE for Windows 2000, I’ve already collected the books for this certified planning, and must study hard. Right now I’ve got MCP certified but unfortunately Microsoft already make a new path for this certification Windows.Net, and I am not finished my target . It’s make me being desperate as if I must change the planning and start study for new Exam again. Although I am already MCP certified right now, allof my friends in my office said it’s just a low value certificate compare with Linux and Cisco. But I think there are no Superman in IT which know all of the system.
Right now I am loosing a target. Should I continue my planning to get MCSE for Windows 2000, or start from beginning study for new MCSE path (XP and .Net) or choose another certification which more stable than Microsoft. Which one is the most valuable certification in the future?
Thank you
