Change date program

By john ·
Was it on this site I saw a way of re-setting the date to extend the time limit on a program you're trying? I think it involved a small program. Anyone know anything about it?

Date Change

I should first point out that changing the date on your PC is not the same as time travel and therefore does not actually extend the period for which you're entitled to trial the software.

That said, if you're only trialling the software then surely it's no hardship to change the date manually until you're ready to make your decision?

Yes, understood on the first part. I was only intrigued - frustated that I couldn't find where I'd seen it.

I have a feeling that changing the date upsets Windows in quite a few ways.

Apart from any schedules you may have set up, changing the date affects Windows Update and presumably other items using a certificate.

Vista date wrong

by mclehr In reply to Change date program

If you find a way to change the date, my husband would be SO HAPPY. His date is 1 day ahead of time (e.g., his shows the 16th today, which is the 15th)

I would be very grateful if you discover the way to change the date in Vista!!
