I need to change the display and monitor characteristics within the C:\windows\system.ini file. I have a person with an older Gateway2000 CrystalScan 1024 NI monitor. Customer says” it works, dont want to replace it. Windows 98se is set to a resolution this monitor does not support. How do I get ‘Standard VGA 640X480’ back in the system.ini? The computer is a used unit he purchased – thought he was getting a deal.
