Try this for your “change domain controller issues”.

      1. Change the network ID on the PC.
      2. Reboot the PC.
      3. Join the computer to the domain on the PC.
      4. When it asks for a username and password, use an admin account on the domain controller.
      5. Reboot the PC.

Windows adds the computer to the AD tree automatically.

If it doesn’t work try pointing the workstation’s primary DNS server to the Domain Controller’s IP address.
