Change Global Address List email addresses

By jstrauss ·
I'd like to change the addresses showing up in the Exchange 2007 Global Address List from user@foo.bar.com to user@bar.com. How do I do that?

Recipient Policies

by Churdoo In reply to Change Global Address Lis ...

Change the default recipient policy. Assuming that @foo.bar.edu is located in the DEFAULT recipient policy, add @bar.edu to the same policy, check the box stating that this exchange organization is responsible for delivery to this domain, and make this new entry the Default SMTP address. Don't delete @foo.bar.edu, simply make @bar.edu the default.

Once this is complete, rebuild the RUS, and then go back to the recipient policy and apply this policy now

Wait a few minutes, or hours depending on the size of your organization and inspect some users' email addresses tab and the GAL.
