Is it possible to change the current static ip address of a workstation to dhcp remotely via modifying the registry? If possible, how to go about?

I’m a bit confused by what you want here. Usual way to turn off static IP to DHCP is from the network settings (route different for NT as opposed to 95/98 etc)and just tick the “Obtain an IP address automatically” box for TCP/IP properties, but I assume you knew that anyway. Assumes you are on the PC. Needs a reboot anyway. Are you referring to modifying the registry of a remote PC? Myself, I’d be using VNC/Remotely Possible/PC Anywhere or similar and set it manually.
Maybe someone there knows the registry keys?
      Good luck

Why use the registry when you can easily and remotely control a workstation using some popular software like PCAnywhere or VNC Viewer. If works as if you are on the remote workstation.

      HKLM\CurrentControlSet\
      Services\CBE1\Parameters\TCPIP\

Change EnableDHCP from 0 to 1

You will need to reboot the machine in order for this to take effect.

      Hope this helps,

      Mike
