Change Pointer on Access Form

By mandajoy ·
I have created an access form and some of the navigation buttons are pictures or other objects. I want to have the pointer change to the "hand" that is used on the web and other appliations to show it is an active link. How do I accomplish this?

Change Pointer on Access Form

There are two ways to do this:

1. Easy Way: Place a space character in the 'Hyperlink Address' property field of the command button. Doing so will change other propertied of the button to reflect a hyperlink such as font color and underline - butthese properties can then be changed again.

2. Harder way: Use the OnMouseMove event for your form and buttons (and other applicable form objects) to change the cursor to the appropriate shape.

I've never had to explore the 'harder' method, soI can't help with that one much more.

Hope it helps.

sorry - I just assumed that you had an MS Access 'form' - but you might be referring to another development tool? (web dev?)

Thanks TimFox! I was talking about a "form" in Access 2000 so your answer was perfect.
Thanks again!
