When saving a email message, is it possible to change the default file type to .msg from the current default of .txt? We save as .msg to preserve any attached files. When some people in our company go to save their messages they use the pull down ofpreviously used filenames, pick one close to what they want the edit it. They see the .msg there, so they think it will save that way, and do not change the Save As Type pull down. So we get file names like “New Project.msg.txt”.
