Change SID on cloned machines

I’m just wondering if it is necessary to change the SID on Windows 2000 machines if they have been cloned using Ghost?

I know that you needed to run ghost walker after imaging a windows NT 4 machine though I wan’t sure whether this was still the case with windows 2000.

Any ideas.
