Try another partitioning software

by power zhu In reply to change the partition size ...

I do not use partition magic, as it has not been upgraded for such a long time and it doesn't support my server 2003.
In fact, I use easeus partition master to resize the partitions, as well as other jobs, for example, copy partition/disk.
BTW, it is free for home users and there is detail instruction about how to operate http://www.partition-tool.com/partition-magic/server-partition-resize.htm

Resize partition to create another new partition

Use some newly partition software like Partition Assistant. It can shrink the dirve c, and then create another partition on your disk. Detailed information see: http://www.extend-partition.com/partition-manager-pro-edition.html

Partition Magic Can Not Work with Server

by jacksonam In reply to change the partition size ...

According to my practice, Partition Magic is only compatible with Windows 98/NT/2000/XP.

If you are using Windows 2008. You can right-click C drive and select "Shrink Volume" to reduce partition capacity.

For Server 2000/2003, you need some <a href="http://www.partition-magic.org/server.html">Partition Magic Server</a> Software to split C drive.
