Changed CD-ROM with Lite-On cd-RW, Windows 98 doesn’t see it.

The Windows 98 OS on my desktop does not recognise a CD-RW drive, although I had a CD-ROM installed before. The New Hardware Wizard cannot detect the drive. The only driver I can find on board is “Cyber Drive Bus CD-Rom Device Driver Version 1.94” The replacement drive is a Lite-On LTR 40125S CD-RW.

Is it a driver problem or something more? The motherboard is an Intel PD440FX with a Pentium II processor.
