Hi there,
Had a AGP video card go down on us a few days ago. So I installed a spare vidoe card that I had. rebooted 95 F8 booted in safe mode, uninstalled AGP card drivers, then installed the correct Cirrus 5436 PCI driver for the new card. When I rebooted the pc, It
would freeze in the middle of the bootup everytime. So I stepped through everything trying to figure out where it was going wrong, it would get to loading windows drivers and then bang would not go any further. So I upgraded the Bios still
nothing!! We have finally recieved another AGP card and when we put it in, it work no problem!!! Argh, what would this be, does anyone have any idea?
The Pc is a Hp Vectra Ve Series 8, Celeron 333 with 64 M Mem. This question is for the future because we will run into this again, I know it 🙂
If anyone has any suggestions, it would be appericated.
Thanks
Jamie
