I’d like to know if there is an easy way to change the domain
workgroup for W2K Advanced Server. The W2K machine is not serving as a
server in the truest sense as it is not controlling files or print
functions. It is just acting as a Mail Server.The machine does have two
nic cards, one looking at a Speed Touch Home Alcatel modem for static ip
configuration with BellSouth, and the other looking at the LAN. The LAN
card is pulling the email from BellSouth through a Cayman router. The
problem is once I boot the W2K machine up, I have to take it down
everytime someone in the company needs to surf the internet through the
LAN. This is not only time consuming but email is down for that period
of time also. I have thought about configuring another W2K Advanced
Server machine with a different workgroup name thinking this may solve
the problem, but would rather do it an easier way if possible. Thank
