Changing Drive Names

By Aakash Shah ·
I have a 8-in-1 memory card reader that adds 4 extra drives to My Computer. However, it only adds it as "Removable Disk (?:)". I would like to change this so that it reads the appropriate card it accepts. I can also accept adding a comment to each of the drives so that I can see them when I view My Computer in Details view.

Have you tried changing the name in Disk Management under Computer Management. It is accessible from Adminstrative Tools on the Control Panel.

The Disk Management page will list all drives on your computer. By right clicking and slecting properties, you should be able to change the drive name.

I wasn't able to find an option there to change the drive name.
