How do you change the username, company, and initials on microsoft office applications without reinstalling the program? (changing the default user for the programs)

Check at www.jsiinc.com

These values are buried in userX.exe or userX.dll (or used to be) and I have managed to change them with a hex editor, but you have to make sure you terminate the strings properly and don't exceed the max length.

Username and initials can be changed by opening Word and going to Tools-->Options-->User Information tab. This should do it for the whole suite. Company name might need to be done through the registry. Try (carefully) using regedit and searching for the old company name under HK Local Machine-->Software and changing any instances of the company name.

Good Luck.
