Changing my default browser

By sam.wechter ·
I presently have both Netscape and Microsoft
Explorer as internet browsers. Netscape is my default browser.

I would like to make Explorer my default browser. Could you please help me?

On the Tools menu, click Internet Options.
Click the Programs tab.
Click the Reset Web Settings button.

You can reset your Internet Explorer settings to their original defaults, including your home page and search pages, and choice of default browser, without changing your other browser's settings.

The person in answer one is pointing you to the right spot, but I think the buttom he's referring to just resets the defaults in IE.

All you should have to do is make sure is the item below that that says "Internet Explorer should check to see if it is the default browser" has a check in it.

IF there is, the nexy time you run IE, it should prompt you whether or not you want it to be the default browser or not.
